The all Volunteer Fire Tower Steward program will be returning to Balsam Lake Fire Tower on May 29, 2021 for the season. We hope to be open through Columbus Day, October 11, 2021. The hours are generally from 10 AM to 4 PM. Our fire tower cab will remain closed until NYS DEC has made some necessary repairs, but the views from the top landing on the fire tower are awesome! Our Stewards will be there to meet and greet visitors, provide information and education. Per NYS DEC and the CCCD, we will continue to follow June 2020 (sic!) guidelines for COVID. All visitors must wear a mask when on the fire tower, use hand sanitizer before and after climbing the tower, and climb in family groups only. We hope all of these restrictions will be lifted as some point during the 2021 season. Thanks for visiting!
